HITCH-MOUNTED OPTIONS

RECEIVER SIZE
Our hitch-mounted rack models will fit a 1.25", 2", or 2.5" standard receiver tube.

TILT AND SWING
Our hitch-mounted racks are designed for convenience and flexibility:

• Tilt: Tilt your rack up for compact storage while not in use, or down for easier access to the rear of your vehicle.
  

• Swing-Out: The optional RakAttach hitch extension swings out to either the passenger or driver side, providing full rear-vehicle access even with bikes or cargo loaded.

SPARE TIRES
For vehicles with spare tires or bumpers that extend more than 3" beyond the receiver, a hitch extender or rise/drop receiver can provide the clearance you need. Be sure to check the vehicle’s tongue rating before using this setup.

HITCH BAR LOCKS
Every rack includes a hitch bar lock for added security.

• 1.25" Hitch Bar Lock: For 1.25" racks, the 1.25" Hitch Bar Lock is compatible with hitch-mounted racks that use a vertical hitch pin hole.

• Slotted Hitch Bar Lock: For 2" or 2.5" racks, the slotted hitch bar lock provides a usable length of 3". If your receiver tube is wider—such as on newer Toyota Tacoma models—a longer replacement pin can be purchased.

• Side-Entry Lock: For situations with limited side access to the receiver—such as on the Tesla Model Y—the 2" Hitch Bar Lock w/ Side Entry can be purchased.

ROOF RACK TO HITCH ASSEMBLY
Roof racks can also be converted to hitch-mounted racks if desired (hitch-mounted racks and add-ons cannot be converted to roof racks because they use split trays). To make the conversion, you’ll need the roof rack, a hitch assembly or add-on frame, and the appropriate mounting hardware.
