If your rack is dirty, squeaking, or just been on your vehicle for a while, it’s a good idea to bust out the tools to keep your racks and accessories functioning like new.
- Tighten security hitch bolt periodically to ensure proper tension
- Remove the rack from receiver tube at least every two weeks and clean receiver to prevent seizing.
- Remove road debris off nuts and bolts to prevent corrosion.
- Inspect hardware periodically to ensure proper working condition.
- Keep rack clean to ensure moving parts function properly. Please use caution when cleaning as certain chemical cleaners may damage the finish of the rack.
